Man dies of drug trial for laborotory in Hyderabad.
Hyderabad: A 24-year-old boy died on Friday night after taking the dose of a medicine during a clinical trial for a laboratory in Hyderabad.
Surinder’s family was still trying to come to terms with the death of the their son. When a new revelation has upset them further, that Surinder died during a clinical trial in a laboratory.
“It’s the lab that is responsible for my brother’s death,” said Surinder’s brother Naresh.
Surinder as part of the drug trials for GVK took the first dose of Felodipine10 mg, a drug for hypertension on November 26. He collapsed and died on December 5.
It also exposes the need for pharma companies to do a stricter background check of their volunteers.
